On this date (November 5) in 1930:
Al Mineo and Steve Ferrigno, allies of Giuseppe "Joe the Boss" Masseria and leaders of a sprawling Mafia organization in the Bronx and Brooklyn, were killed by gunmen working for Salvatore Maranzano.
